Biodegradable cleaner safely cleans Corian

NATURE BRIGHT CLEANS CORIAN

A Testimonial

I'm always so excited when I discover another use for our wonderful Shaklee products. We have Corian counters and a corian sink in our kitchen. As anyone who has a white corian sink knows...it can get very stained. Of course At Ease will take out the stains but one day I got to thinking about our wonderful Nature Bright. With all the super specials, I now have extra Nature Bright (thank you Shaklee)

Well, I sprinkled some Nature Bright on my sink surface (after I rinsed the sink out) and let it sit. A few minutes later, I came back, swished everything with my Super Sponge and NO MORE STAINS!!

Now I keep an old salt shaker full of nature bright right on top on my sink and sprinkle my magic whenever I want!

Product Testimonial: Basic-H Goes to the Dogs

M Britt writes:

I was thinking about how hot it is for our German Shepherd/Malamute mix and remembered to check her ears (when it gets hot the biting flies are fierce for her).

I noticed that she didn’t have any flies around her; that's good but odd I thought, as they bite us every time we get out of the pool! Her ears are almost completely healed!

Then I remembered, just before we went on vacation, I sprayed her with my laundry pre-spotter mixture of Basic H and saw flies FALL off of her body--that was scary, but then I remembered this stuff is non-toxic so I shouldn't worry.

I then left some Basic-H out for my parents to take care of her with while we were gone on vacation. My dad sprayed our dog, doghouse and her pen while we were gone.

I also noticed she doesn't roll like a mad dog around the yard trying to get Basic H off of her fur. With bitter apple, baby oil and bag balm she would become a rolling, flailing dog for at least a good 10-15 minutes trying to get it off.

With Basic H, I cover her eyes, spray her body and get some on my hand to put some on her head and then when I let her go she will go lay down and she might rub her head once on the ground. With all of the other stuff, it didn't matter how long I tried to distract her, she was doing a full body roll all over the yard.

I use 1 cup of basic H and 3/4 cup of water to put in my spray bottle and use as a laundry pre-spotter. I haven't encountered a stain I couldn't get out with this mixture and now it's a really good fly repellant/killer.

Thanks Shaklee! --M Britt

Humorous Basic-H testimonial

Testimonial

Hi all,

I was in a funny mood today...I am sooo in love with Basic-H I just had to write a little tale about how my husband was saved this weekend...thought you might enjoy it!

Laura

Their's was a forbidden love...

She was a middle-aged woman just trying to survive on the mean streets of upper-middle class suburbia. He, a highly concentrated, environmentally friendly (and surprisingly economical!) bottle of Basic-H. Perfectly accessorized with a full complement of spray bottles suitable for every cleaning need, he promised her that no stain would ever stand between her and the nirvana that is the white glove clean home.

Such ARE the dreams of the everyday housewife...

But she had been hurt before. Oh yes. With cabinets full of laundry pre-soaks and cleansers, space-aged technology and revolutionary advances in stain removal systems, this thrifty coupon clipper knew the pain of betrayal and heartache as empty promise followed empty
promise. No, she was not so naive.

She resisted his temptations for quite some time. Prefering to live in the fantasy of what could be rather than to risk further heartbreak.

But then it happened. Clad in her cream-colored robe, she brazenly ignored the inner voice that warned she was begging for trouble while she whisked blueberry concentrate into her smoothie.
Horrified, she watched as the deep blue flecks splattered on her lapel.

Resigning herself to her fate, she spritzed the laundry pre-soak on the stains.

Whaaaaaa??? It was nearly instantaneous. The stains. BLUEBERRY CONCENTRATE for crissakes, had disappeared! She blinked hard, carrying the robe from light source to light source looking for that inevitable blue shadow only to fine...NONE.

Soon she was using Basic-H on everything. Cat got sick on the cream carpeting? No sweat. Iced tea spill? Get over it. Greasy black stove? Whatever. Smudgey glass table top? Not any more! Yea, though she walked through the Valley of the Apronless, she did not fear the big blob of warm beet puree that she dripped on her khaki shorts while baking her famous chocolate beet cake.

But could Basic-H save her marriage?

It was a pleasant gathering at a friend's home, in celebration of his birthday. They were delighted to see his sister again, this time with family in tow, having arrived just the day before from Quebec.

Quebec. Where they spit on the English language. The language of dogs and margarine eaters.

Undaunted by the language barrier, Scotty "What's this? Another chance to use my acting skills?" Johnson was soon engaged in a intricate and empassioned pantomime of his firm resolve to join them in Canada should another Bush ever land in the White House. The Quebecoise sat in rapt attention (you know...French...mimes) while Scotty, in a grand sweeping gesture that would have made Marcel Marceau use up an entire box of invisible kleenex dabbing appreciative mime tears, launched a full glass of merlot into his wife's lap. As several peony sized blossoms of deep crimson spread across her pale green linen skirt, the Quebecoise, having noted the wine was an inferior American varietal, exploded into applause, assuming the symbolism was an integral component of the actor's mythic journey.

Calmly she rose from her seat, with the patient, steady look perfected during those years she was raised by wolves (as her husband suspected by the way she so savagely beat him in Yahtzee the night before) and held her hand out for the car keys. He, baring his neck in supplication, handed them over.

She chuckled as she walked in to her home, picking up the compact bottle of pale blue liquid that fit so...perfectly...into her delicate hand. "C'mon baby, why don't you slip into something a
little more comfortable while I take care of that nasty stain for you?" In less time than it takes to say, "He will pay...oh yes...he will pay," the stain was gone.

She returned to the party, standing in the doorway while he ran to greet her, quickly falling to his knees to kiss her hand and beg her forgiveness.

"Did it come out okay?"

A pregnant pause. She lingered a moment, enjoying seeing him dangle over the precipice of He Who Is Banished to the Guest Room.

"Yes...It did."

The guests exhaled in unison, nodding and smiling as he touched his forehead to her hand.

Dutifully, he waited on her hand and foot for the rest of the evening (well, more like a good half hour, but still...), while offering a silent prayer of thanks to the wizards who had invented
Basic-H saving him from certain exile to the land of She SO Owns Your Sorry Mime's Butt Now.

Suggestions for Babies or Children with Eczema

Avoiding Household Chemicals:

Chemicals in detergents can create all kinds of problems. What bed sheets are washed in can aggravate a child’s skin condition and keep him or her up at night coughing and sneezing. Non-toxic, biodegradable laundry products and Basic-H are wonderful to use to prevent skin and respiratory conditions in children and adults.

Are you spraying your curtains with a fire accelerant?

In my first post, I talked about a Healthy Home party given in my home. Let me tell you about a particularly memorable incident.

When Karen, the demonstrator, first welcomed us she picked up a disposable pie tin and sprayed it with a leading germicidal spray. She explained that she would need the tin in a few minutes as part of the demonstration.

Karen proceeded to begin the demonstration, ignoring the tin. About 30 minutes later, she began to tell us about the biodegradable cleaners, their effectiveness and cost effectiveness. "Impressive" I thought.

She then picked up the pie tin and a pack of matches. "Have you seen commercials about spraying this germicide on curtains and upholstery to prevent mildew and to freshen?" she asked. Of course we all had. She then struck a match and touched it to the seemingly empty pie tin.

To my amazement it blazed into flame! She calmly picked up a bottle containing mixed Basic-G and spraying into the pan, doused the flames out. Karen then explained that the germicide left a flammable residue on surfaces. So, I thought, we are spraying a fire accelerant all over our house even in our kitchens! Amazing!!

I then learned that Basic-G is the safest and most effective germicide/cleaner. Basic-G is:

  • bactericidal
  • fungicidal
  • virucidal
  • Kills AIDS virus, protects against canine parvovirus and feline leukemia
  • certified Kosher

Basic-G kills bad bacteria and viruses for up to 3 days on surfaces. Clorox kills these germs for only 1 hour. Lysol, Pine Sol, etc. do not kill the kinds of organisms Clorox or Basic-G do. The cost of Basic-G is much lower than competing products.

Costs less, highly effective, biodegradable and nonflammable. Why not switch today?

All the best to you and your family,

Jeff & Bonnie

It really kills me...

The big companies spend millions in advertising while spending as little as possible on the toxic cleaning products they sell. Basic-H, a plant based, non-toxic cleaner, is diluted in various strengths for different cleaning tasks. To make window cleaner (ie Windex), you put 3 drops of Basic-H in 16 ounces of water. So a one quart bottle makes 6,900 22 oz bottles of window cleaner! So what are the other companies selling you? Water.

How much gasoline is wasted by these other companies shipping water around the country. I guess they don't think we pollute the air enough and that we're not dependant on the middle east enough.

Do the environment, the country and your family a favor. Find some non-toxic means of cleaning your house. We'll all benefit.

Check the links at the side to see what they're introducing into your home. Don't think for a moment that you're not absorbing these toxins through your lungs and skin. Doctors deliver medication with skin patches all the time because they know just how easily it is to get chemicals through the skin.

Then something strange happened...

A short time after we changed cleaning products, my husband was emptying the dishwasher. No that's not what was strange! I have a wonderful, helpful husband. Well back to the point. He was out in the kitchen and I was in the living room and he called out "Bonnie come here!" Fearful the new dishwashing powder had done something awful to the dishes, I hurried out to the kitchen with fear in my heart.

To my surprise, Jeff whips a drinking glass from the dishwasher and sticks it over my nose saying "Smell that!" Hesitantly, I took a whiff, half expecting some hideous odor. I smell nothing and said as much. "I know. Usually they have a chemical smell that I really hate, but these don't" was his reply.

I never even knew that he didn't like the way the old dishwashing powder made the glasses smell, so this was rather surprising news to me. Thinking about it I realized that if we could smell the chemicals, then there had to be some residue on the dishes. That also meant we were ingesting those chemicals with our food! Yuk!! Reading the new powder's box I learned it is environmentally friendly because it contains no phosphates, chlorine, borates, or nitrates.

Take the time to smell one of your glasses the next time you empty the dishwasher. Can you smell a chemical residue? I this what you want your husband, boyfriend, wife, girlfriend or children to consume?

I want to note that we were using a very popular brand of dishwashing powder. Chances are that it's under your sink too. Look over at the "Link" section to the right to read more about common household toxins that are right in your home.

The other interesting thing is that the non-toxic cleaner is less expensive to use since it's very concentrated. You only use 2 teaspoons per cup instead of filling each cup. I later found out that other dishwashing powders have "fillers". This increases the amount of energy it takes to ship them and is what frequently causes scratching of glass wear.

So it's environmentally friendly, protects my family from harmful chemicals and less expensve to use. What's not to like?

In the beginning...

I suppose I should start out by telling you how I came to love these cleaners.

In 1993 my best friend began selling Shaklee products. Back then they did what were called “Healthy Home” parties. She explained that they only took one hour and that no one was even allowed to buy products that night no matter how much they might want to. Being the good friend, I agreed to let her give her first party at my house to our friends.

I must admit I was a little nervous. We’ve all heard horror stories of letting a multilevel marketing person in your house. Usually I don’t want those types to even know I exist! But being the good friend I am ;-), I swallowed hard and bravely hosted.

The night of the party, sure to her word, the demonstration only ran one hour, but in that hour I saw just how superior these cleaners are. It started a 12 year love affair with this company, its products and especially the cleaner line. To a product, they work as well, if not better, than what I used to buy from the super market, cost much less (in most cases), are very concentrated so you're not wasting money shipping water around and are environmentally friendly. All the products completely return to nature within 30 days.

So that’s how I came to love these cleaners knowing that I can have a sparkling clean home without taking my families life in my hands.
